Article Summary:

Brady and Madison announce to Ian that they are getting married very shortly.

EJ instructs Will to find the surveillance footage proving that he was framed for Stefano's murder. Will and Sonny watch the footage, which suggests that EJ was framed, but they can't make out the identity of the shadowy figure. The footage is then suddenly deleted.

Sami blasts Will for not revealing that EJ isn't a DiMera. Will defends EJ and says that the footage was erased. To Will's relief, Sami reveals that she already copied it to a flash drive. After visiting EJ at the police station and overhearing him passionately insisting upon his innocence, she decides not to hand over the flash drive to the police. She meets with EJ, who tells her to give the flash drive to his lawyer.

Bo, Hope and Chad confront Gabi over her fingerprints found on the note in Andrew's basement. She explains that she picked it up and read it, and manages to talk her way out of it when Hope suggests Gabi be hypnotized by Marlena.

In the tunnels, Melanie manages to steal Andrew's cell phone and call Chad. All that Chad can make out from the phone call is the word "tunnels" which Melanie repeats. Brady joins Chad on the search for Melanie, and, down in the tunnels, they realize there are gas leaks. Gabi is also in the tunnels and steers Brady and Chad in the wrong direction. Gabi runs into Andrew and Melanie and tries to hide her association with Andrew. At this point, an explosion rocks the tunnels and debris falls on Gabi, Andrew and Melanie. They're all injured, with Andrew being severely hurt. Chad and Brady are also knocked out in the explosion. When Melanie and Gabi come to, Gabi fakes an ankle injury so that Mel will leave to get help, and when she does, Gabi tries to convince Andrew to leave town while he still can.

Madison is wearing her wedding gown and waiting for Brady when Ian arrives and taunts her that Brady changed his mind about the wedding. John steps in and defends his son.

Roman is on the hunt for EJ, whom Sami has bailed out. Sami and EJ get Will to bring Johnny and Allie to a warehouse so that EJ can see the children one last time. Will doesn't realize that he's being tailed by Roman and Lucas. Roman aims his gun at EJ who is on a catwalk. Sami jumps in front of EJ and instructs him to run.

The town is then hit by a huge explosion. Daniel, Nicole, Bo, Hope, John, Marlena, Abe and nearly all of Salem in peril and leaves Sami hanging from the catwalk. In the tunnels, Mel, Brady, Chad and Gabi’s lives are also in jeopardy.

The whole town is shaken. There are people who do not survive the explosion……

Allie? I'm going to assume that's a typo. Everything sounds pretty good. A lot of (IMO) good stuff is happening next week.

I hope Nicole doesn't lose her baby during this. I am scared to death that she will. I think I read on some thread that there were several twitter sources that said Nicole wasn't going to lose the baby now. Are those sources reliable? I tried to find where that comment was, but I can't find it now. Can someone post on here if they know anything?

This would actually be interesting if I remotely cared about any of the characters that were at the center of all of this (which I don't because they all suck).

This all sounds pretty good. I'd bet money that Andrew and Madison don't survive the explosion, but does anyone know about Camilla Banus' status with the show after the cliffhanger? I'd actually be pleasantly surprised if they kept that exit on the DL.

Wishful thinking. :P

None of this sounds remotely interesting to me. Though, I'm wondering....apparently Tomlin wanted to do a dream scenario and this would have been a good setup for that. I'm wondering if that means that everything planned for this story was scrapped and we're going to get a rewritten quickly wrapped version.

Well I hope this turns out better than the Safehouse embarassment.

:applause: That's my own position in a nutshell--especially regarding the whole Andrew/Gabi/Chad/Melanie crap. Especially Gabi, who I am wishing would buy the farm along with (most likely) Andrew. Self-serving little drip.

Sounds great. The addition of Bope and Brady even have me interested in the Melanie story.

Sounds so unappealing... Much like the safehouse story for May sweeps. I feel like if it were one huge event and not 5 smaller events, it would be more intriguing.

I'm excited. I like it when there are events that involve most of the cast.

Bo & Hope are the only reason i'm watching the Melanie/Gabi/Andrew mess. & what a shocker that Tomlin inserts Brady back into Mel's orbit.

It's better than when there is NOTHING happening on-screen. ;)

Go Gabi! At least one person's thought process makes total sense to me. And it sounds like she may not be a total moron so- bonus.

Also- go explosion! Take these people out, one by one, in pairs, in groups...I'm so rooting for the gas. It already took out Lexie in a way, right? Keep it up!

Love how this already sounds like a more destructive event than anything the great scary Stefano ever pulled off. Guess they should've been more concerned with nature.

Actually...I think I might start using "it was the gas" as a way of rationalizing Salemite's behavior. Clearly they've been living on top of dangerous ground. Maybe it's been slowly leaking all this time...
